This workshop will provide an extensive guide on getting started with watercolour illustration. This workshop welcomes beginners and those with some watercolour experience. You will be provided with materials. Starting from the basics, you will learn about using specific materials to achieve various techniques, helping you to determine and develop your style of watercolour illustration.
The workshop will continue with a colour mixing demonstration allowing you to become familiar with the paint and different effects that can be created using light and dark tones. You will then learn how these techniques can be used to create botanical illustrations with character.

Troy will be holding a workshop teaching a select group of participants an art technique known as pointillism. Pointillism also known as stippling is a specific style of art that uses thousands of tiny dots of varying sizes to produce an image.Any budding artists who would like to learn how to produce works of art using this technique are welcome to sign up. Whether you are a professional or a beginner, Troy will be covering all bases so everybody is able understand and enjoy the process.

Time: 2pm-5pm 

During this workshop you will mix paper cuts with geometric and organic forms created with pens and highlighters. Naomi will guide the attendees to the infinite possibilities in decorating watercolour paper with repetition elements as lines or dots, creating bright and detailed final compositions. Materials such as tape, stickers and pens will be provided, to experience a brand new way to create eye catching abstract pieces using a layering technique.

Learn how to gain confidence in loosening up your painting style in creating expressive, colourful and fresh abstract art.
During this workshop, you will be guided through a series of “loosening up” techniques, incorporating both painting and line drawing.
We will explore different ways of mark making, figure drawing and colour harmony all in the aim to give your paintings a unique style.
All materials are provided, just bring along your artistic passion and desire to enjoy a little freedom in painting.

Join Rebecca Cahill Roots to try your hand at Brush Lettering using Tombow ABT Brush Pens. You'll learn the basic strokes you need to create beautiful letter forms, the correct angles to work at and experiment with colour blending. This is a drop-in workshop so no advanced booking is needed, stay for 15 mins or hang out for longer if you catch the lettering bug.
