Help & Advice
In 1832, William Winsor and Henry Newton bought their knowledge of chemistry and the arts together to begin creating an unprecedented choice of colour, and quality to artists' materials. Winsor & Newton started by creating a reliable source of brushes and colours for artists to work with, from there they began to work on new developments to improve the quality of products such as their watercolours and tin tubes to make painting outdoors easier. After a series of awards and royal appointments in the late 1800's, Winsor & Newton began to take their artists' colours around the world. Expanding their product range, Winsor & Newton continued developing new products and improving existing ones from sourcing the best pigments to introducing Designers Gouache. Today Winsor & Newton's commitment to quality and innovation remain a focus for the company. Dedicated to the arts, they continue to embrace new developments and technologies to bring the highest quality artists' materials to artists all over the world.
