Strathmore Paper Company was started in 1892 on St. Patrick's Day opening their first paper mill in West Springfield. Horace Moses it's founder visited the Valley Of Strathmore in Scotland and was so impressed by the beauty of the area with the thistles in full bloom he used the name and the thistle as their name and logo. They have developed a series of classification systems of their papers to help you choose the perfect paper suited to your needs, with art paper designed for children to encourage creativity or their 400 series which is perfect for more advanced artists.
