Arches Velin Drawing Cold Pressed Sheet 115gsm 66cm x 48.2cm Cream

Arches Velin is a top quality drawing paper made from 100% cotton. Traditional mould-made manufacturing techniques make the paper harmonious with a natural grain similar to handmade paper. The cotton fibres are equally distributed throughout the paper, making it more stable and helping to prevent deformation when wet. When printing, the job of positioning the humidified paper is much easier and the paper can easily withstand repeated passages through the press. The sheets of paper have been cold pressed for a bumpy surface, and a pronounced fine grain that is ideal for academic drawing and sketching. It lets the artist play and experiment with the surface to obtain relief effects and is easily erasable without leaving marks or linting. Each of the sheets measures 66 cm by 48.2 cm and have a weight of 115gsm.

The sheets have three deckle edges and are resistant to mould, with no optical brightener additives and are acid free giving optimal longevity to the paper and your artwork. This paper is suitable for many different mediums including; Pencil, pastel, charcoal, sanguine crayon, felt pen, lithography, intaglio engraving, relief printing, linocut, letterpress, screen-printing, blind embossing, hot-foil stamping, bookbinding, collotype printing.
